  • Lightning

    Lightning

    Complicated in its Simplicity

This is 1 of 7 pieces I created for the new bathrooms we got at work. I thought it would be the easiest piece but then I decided to cover it with clear resin. I cut the lightning out and mounted it to a backing board. I then filled the lightning with gold resin and let the cure. The frame is actually made from a length of gold corner moulding. That was also a pain in the butt to get the measurements right. I add some sparkles which I really like. But the really annoying part was adding the resin. It was not eask getting it smooth as I could not pour it very deep lest it go over the frame. All-in-all, it turned out good but could have been better.

  • Waves

    Waves

    Bathroom art to pee by

This is 1 of 7 pieces I created for the new bathrooms we got at work. 7 layers of blues, greys, and whites. These layered pieces are actually more complicated to assembly than you might think. I like the depth to this one.

  • Bridge Sunset or Sunrise?

    Bridge Sunset or Sunrise?

Love the colour in this one

This is 1 of 7 pieces I created for the new bathrooms we got at work. at 8 layers, this was the second most complicated piece after the airplane. Cutting the layers is the easy part. Painting and assembling them into looking half decent is harder than you might think.

  • Mountainscape

    Mountainscape

    A fun triptych

This is 1 of 7 pieces I created for the new bathrooms we got at work. I was originally was going to just paint these gray and leave it at that but they looked boring and flat so I added colour by drybrushing with acrylics. I wasn’t sure if it turned out great but a lot of people say it’s their favourite out of the 7.

  • Stylized Sun

    Stylized Sun

    A fancy sun

This is 1 of 7 pieces I created for the new bathrooms we got at work. This 5 layer piece is the sun but I wanted it to not be your average, boring, yellow sun so I went with muted stains instead of bright colours which I think represents my vision pretty well.

  • Parametric Airplane

    Parametric Airplane

    Took forever. But worth it!

This is 1 of 7 pieces I created for the new bathrooms we got at work. I had never tried anything like this and was super worried it would be a disaster. I had to cut 178 “slats”, individually paint them, then glue them onto 3 horizontal slats with notches in them. It was heavy and floppy so I decided to add a backing board. I sent a picture to the pattern designer and he complimented me on my first try saying that I did better than some of his clients who have done several already.

  • Coffin Drawers

    Coffin Drawers

    Love love love these!

Made this for my sister who oncce mentioned she wanted coffin drawers. Found this pattern on Etsy and made them for her for Christmas. I absolutley love how they turned out and discovered that painting your wood before cutting it is a great method.

  • Charcuterie Board

  • Layered Cardstock

    Layered Cardstock

Just like it sounds. Cardstock cut out and glued together in layers.

I love doing these for many reasons. There is less fumes and mess than cutting wood, it takes way less time, and the results are beautiful and colourful pieces. I have made several so far and I wish I could make all of them but I have no place to display them all. I have made a few pieces on order though and would be happy to make them to buy. Let me know what you want and I’ll see what I can do!

  • Stitch Markers

    Stitch Markers

What the heck is a stitch marker?

When my friend asked if I could make these for her I agreed without knowing what they even were. But once I figured it out, I made her a bunch and she loved them.
