With eyes that light up!

I love this piece! Cut from 1/8″ baltic birch and painted silver and white for the teeth mounted to a backing piece painted black. The best part is that his eyes light up red. That wasn’t in the pattern of course, it was just a cool idea. But I can’t take credit for implementing the idea as that was all my boyfriend. He took apart a little hand massager that we had which had 3 LED lights in it. He rigged it up so that 2 of the lights sat in his eye sockets and the third is just sitting behind the piece which gives it a nice back glow. I used 2 big googly eyes and took them apart to just use the plastic dome part which I colored with red felt pen and mounted over the eyeball LEDs so that they would glow red instead of white. The on/off switch is placed on the back and is activated by pushing a button. Peter placed it so that to turn the lights off or on, one just needs to push the piece into the wall. So cool! We have this piece hanging in his office.
