Out of this world resin

This one was challenging in that I added colours to the resin to make them look like planets. I cut the piece from 1/4″ baltic birch then spray painted both sides black. I cut circles from plexiglass to match the planets and adhered those to the back. Then I poured in the resin and as it was curing, I carefully added dye to create swirls and such to mimic the colour pattern of each planet and the sun. It worked out pretty good and this piece now hangs in our bedroom window.
