Simple yet elegant

An order from a friend. Request was just a persian cat with a clock. So I created this from a kitty outline I found via Google. I cut it from 1/4″ baltic birch and painted it black and mounted it to a backing piece painted white. It didn’t stand out very well so I meticulously and painstakingly painted the inside edges with white as well. I purposefully left the negative space hoping it made the whole piece somehow more unique and elegant.
