I love you. I know.

I didn’t buy a pattern for this one. Just created it from scratch. The idea kept growing. At first is was just going to be Han and Leia with the words on a grey background. Then I decided to add a picture of Lego Han in carbonite as a background. I tried to use a printed picture at first but it looked awful and was too prominent. I wanted subtle yet identifiable. So I had to figure out how to engrave it on the wood. Success! But the piece was flat and Han in carbonite is deep. Like a box. Boom! I made it into a box. Had a couple of teeny hinges in a drawer and had to figure that whole thing out. Also, it’s grey so I stained it. There was still something missing. It needed action. I got my hands on Luke and Darth Vader minifigs and added them in battle on the top. There are holes in the back so it can be hung on the wall. I really love the final product and I like that it was my own creation.
