Keeper of treasure and time

As a fan of dragons, this was another one I just couldn’t resist making. He’s just so cute. He took quite awhile to cut as there are so very many inside cuts but it was worth it in the end. Cut from 1/4″ baltic birch. I made the one below for myself first and he holds a little clock. He is hanging on our wall here in our house. The burgundy one I made for my mom. I gave him a bauble to hold and admire instead hinting at a bigger treasure he has stashed in his den. I also painted him instead of just staining as I wanted him to be more dragony.
