That’s no moon!

We recently renovated our basement and since it’s a gaming/TV room now, we figured a fun theme throughout should be movie paraphernalia that we enjoy. As we are fans of Star Wars and we had a fireplace begging for some art to display, I couldn’t resist making this huge Death Star. Then we found the Storm Troopers for super cheap at a thrift store and gave them the perfect home. The pattern is actually made for laser cutters and has several more layers. But since I scrolled it instead, I only used the top 3 layers (each cut from 1/8″ baltic birch) but it still worked out pretty great.
