About Me

I’m a Scroll Saw Artist

Hello! My name is Tamara. I live in 🍁Western Canada 🍁and I make art in the media of processed tree fiber modified by a discrete reciprocating small-gauge high TPI cutting blades.

In other words, my art is made from wood (usually Baltic birch plywood) which I carefully cut with my DeWalt DW788 Scroll Saw. The name for this is Fretwork. I have also occasionally worked in the closely related wood art modes Segmentation and Intarsia. Lately I have been experimenting with adding Epoxy Resin to my creations. Although I usually start with a purchased pattern, on occasion I have created custom designs. Once in a while I try some other stuff.

What Can You Find at This Website?

This website is just a place to showcase photos, and sometimes video, of my many wood art creations.

Is My Wood Art For Sale?

Sometimes. I create for my enjoyment and to make gifts for my friends, but I occasionally have an excess of pieces that need a home. Or I will create some simpler pieces for purchase. See my For Sale page to see what is currently up for grabs.

Do I Take Special Orders?

Not anymore. I create for my enjoyment and to make gifts for my friends and family. I no longer accept commission jobs.

Do I Sell Patterns?

No, I do not sell patterns. All of the patterns used in my wood art were purchased from various wonderful pattern makers. I have neither the skills nor the aptitude to create my own patterns, so I purchase patterns. Please refer to my list of pattern vendors.

Do I Have a Social Media Presence?

Of course. I’m not an animal! 😉

You can subscribe to my YouTube channel, or send me a friend request on Facebook.

Please note these are my personal social media touchpoints, and as such I reserve the right to moderate friend requests.
